The production of passenger cars and commercial vehicles in India is the sixth-largest in the world. Its cars can boast neither refined design, nor new technological developments, nor powerful engines.
But they are economic and cheap, which is more important for the citizens of India. Even the deterioration of the ecology in the region due to mass motorization is no longer a problem, as engineers have already prepared a version of an electric vehicle.
India’s automotive industry is now ranked as a global producer ahead of Korea. It makes giant strides in global automotive production. For example, in 2004 it produced nearly 1,250,000 vehicles.

1-Premier:

This Indian car brand appeared in 1944. In the first phase, the company’s activities consisted of the licensed assembly of the Dodge and Plymouth cars. In 1951, Premier concluded an agreement with the Italian FIAT group concerning the production of UNO cars for the Indian automotive market. In addition, this Indian manufacturer collaborated with the French joint venture Peugeot. Premier cars enjoy a stable popularity on the domestic market due to a fairly low price, very high body strength, and extremely compact dimensions.

2-Tata Motors:

Tata Motors Ltd. is India’s largest automotive manufacturer. It is part of the Tata Group, formerly TELCO (TATA Engineering and Locomotive Company). Today, Tata Motors is one of the largest automakers in the world. The Tata Group in India is one of the largest monopolies, which is represented in all important areas of the economy. Tata is made up of 93 companies operating in 7 sectors such as mechanical engineering, new materials, chemical industry, energy, consumer goods and services, information systems, and telecommunications.

3-TVS Motor:

TVS is a popular Indian company producing motorcycles. In the last few years, it successfully operates on the global market of the motorcycle industry. The company’s history is over a year old. TVS is one of the top three companies in India which build motorcycles. In 2004, these Indian motorcycle designers received a prestigious Japanese award entitled “Deming Application Prize” which allowed TVS to sell its motorcycles around the world. Today TVS is one of the brands in development, as it tries to present its products in all world markets.

4-Ashok Leyland Limited:

Ashok Leyland is automotive manufacturing  Indian It was incorporated in September 1948. It is the second-largest manufacturer of M&HCVs (Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles) in India. 

5-Force Motors:

Force Motors Limited is part of the group of companies Dr Abhay Flores, one of the industrial houses of India, focusing exclusively on the automotive field. The company Force Motors was founded in 1958 as Bajaj Tempo Ltd is a manufacturer of three-wheeled vehicles, multiple public service vehicles, light commercial vehicles, tractors, buses, and now it equips commercial vehicles based in Pune, India. Force Motors encourages innovation and motivates 500 expert engineers to create cutting-edge automotive designs.

6-Hindustan Motors:

Hindustan Motors is an Indian automaker based in Kolkata, Bengal, India. It was set up in 1942 by BM Birla of the famous Birla family. Now it is part of the industrial technical group Birla Services. The company was the largest car manufacturer in India before the advent of Maruti Udyog.
