Information about Skoda Auto:

The Czech company established in the city of Mlada Boleslav which is specialized in the automotive industry. Later, Skoda became part of the Volkswagen group in the year 1991. This company also includes Seat, Bugatti SA, Lamborghini Automobili, and the Scania Heavy Equipment Factory, as 2008 statistics say that “Wagon Automotive Bremen GmbH “ pumped about 674,530 cars into international markets.

Skoda History:

The first origins of the company Skoda go back to the late nineteenth century, and this is similar to many companies that established in the same time period such as Toyota and Mitsubishi. The company’s activity at that time was the manufacture of bicycles that started in 1894. A young man around twenty six years old named “Vaclav Clement” worked in the field of renting books. Clement owned a German-style bicycle, and he was unable to provide the necessary gear parts for it, so he corresponded with two German specialists in this industry, their name is “Seidl” And “Nawman”, and he wrote to them his message in the Czech language, asking them to repair his bike. The reply came to him: If you want to respond to your inquiry, you have to send it in a language that we can understand, so the young man got angry, and he felt disappointed, he decided to start making his own workshop, despite his lack of experience in the field, he opened the factory in 1895 in “Mladá Boleslav”, and later entered into partnership with Clement.

The young man moved to the new factory and, in partnership with Clement, made the first bike, it was designed that the engine would be firmly placed on the control arms that move the car. Of course there were no safety measures in it, an accident occurred to it, which made “Vaclav” focus on making a safer car. He asked a German ignition specialist named “Robert Bosch” to get advice from him regarding the manufacture of a new electromagnetic system, and the Slavia bike was launched in 1899. Skoda at that time included a number of workers reaching 32 workers, and the bike was already exported. Then the First World War entered, which made the company focus its efforts on the manufacture of military articles and military vehicles.

After the end of World War II, the first “Mlada Boleslav” factory was rebuilt, the company turned to the production of cars, so it launched the 1101 series, which is based on other copies that the company had begun to develop and produce before the war. Skoda achieved great success, and became a fierce competitor, equal to the major companies In the market, it was able to establish a good mental image of it despite the political turmoil that led to the cutting of technological communication lines with countries that do not follow the communist regime.

Skoda belongs to Volkswagen:

After the outbreak of the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia, many companies were privatized, including Skoda, and the government decided to make it a subsidiary of the Flemings Wagon group foreign to the country, which had huge economic power, indeed Skoda entered as a fourth brand for the group.
