Aston Martin History:
Aston Martin was created in 1913, on the basis of a partnership between "Lionel", the current founder of the company and another named "Robert Bamford". This partnership started in 1912 under the name of Bamford and Martin for the sale of cars. The company's activity was based on the repairs and maintenance of GWK cars and the Calthrope brand. Mr. Martin prepared things to launch with the Aston Martin brand. The car ran with a four-cylinder engine. But World War I interrupted production so that Leonard Martin himself enlisted in the 'Royal Navy', all the company's tools were sold to 'Sopwith Flying'.
After the war ended, Aston Martin wanted to wake up again, so it was given the proper financial injection, by a man called 'Abingdon', and then a modern car bearing the Aston Martin marque was designed. In 1920 Mr. Bamford decided to leave the alliance, then came a further financial injection from the Count Louis company which revived the business, and cars of modern designs were launched which won excellent success in their time.
David Brown took over the reins of the company in 1947, having bought it, and the company came under the management of Mr. David Brown, where Brown bought the “Lagonda company” in the same year, an alliance occurred between both companies, and in the years after 1947 the company flooded the market with a number of modern models, which formed a good mental image among the consumer, aided by its strong presence in sports racing, and the most important and prominent model was the DB4 car, the last model of which came in 1963 titled DB5, after that the DB 6 and DB8 were launched, as the company modernized into car.
When the year 1972 came, the company was purchased by “Developments Ltd.”, because it had gone through misfortunes in the years preceding that date, then it was bought from an investor from North America in 1975, and from here the modern production plan was developed which resulted in the V8 models Vantage - Flying.
On the outskirts of the 21st century, the company was sold to Ford, the pace of production accelerated, and a large number of Aston Martin brand cars were pumped out. In 2007, it was purchased from “Prodrive”.
The Aston Martin car was able to attract the attention of customers thanks to its many connections in European circles, spread to China and became a reputable global car, celebrating its centenary in 1913.
