The charm of Mazda cars is created by the high level of quality, industrialization, relevance. The design of the cars with the Mazda logo is always excellent. This Japanese automaker has had fifty updates of the logo in its history.
The history of the Mazda logo:
Mazda is said that Mazda coincided with the Anglicized pronunciation of the name of the founder, Jujiro Matsuda, who was interested in spirituality and chose to rename society, in honor of his family and Zoroastrianism. The word is derived from Mazda Ahura Mazda, the name of the Avestic language for a deity exalted by the ancient Iranian prophet Zarathoustra, as the source of wisdom, intelligence, and harmony.
The current logo tries to capture the spirit of Mazda, the stylized «M» evokes an image of wings in flight and flying symbolizes Mazda with impatience. The «V» in the center of the «M» runs as an open range, which represents the creativity, vitality, flexibility, and passion that are the meaning of Mazda. The symbol as a whole expresses the strong and solid feeling that Mazda leans over all its products. The dynamic ring symbolizes our desire to spread our wings as we enter the 21st century.
The company was officially renamed Mazda in 1984, although all models were sold from the early bore with this name. The first four-wheel model, the Mazda R360, was introduced in 1960 and followed by the Mazda Carol in 1962.
Ford Motor Company has taken control of 25% of Mazda since 1979 and has continued to control 33% since 1996, when there were financial problems. At the end of 2008, Ford sold 20% of its stake in order to obtain liquidity in financial difficulties, but we hold 13%. Ford founded a lot of its technology in Mazda models as in Ford Probe, the newest American Ford Escort, or the joint development of Ford Escape/Mazda Tribute.
The agreement between Ford and Mazda in 1979 allowed Ford to sell Mazda cars under the Ford brand in Asia and Australia, such as Ford Laser and Ford Telstar. These models replaced the Ford Europe models sold during the 1970s. Ford has also used Mazda models to establish its own network of dealerships in Japan (Autorama sells these cars as well, but to a lesser extent models of Ford Europe and Ford from the United States).
The change in model names ended in 2000 when Ford replaced Laser with its own Ford Focus and Telstar model with its Ford Mondeo model. Ford and Mazda work mainly on the exchange platform.
