A plan was drawn up to establish a proposed assembly plant in Mexico City, Albuquerque, New Mexico, but the project was completed before it could begin. In the meantime, there was a plant called "Vermot General Assembly", which is a project resulting from the union of the General Motors group and the Japanese Toyota, since it was established in eastern Vermont, more precisely in the industrial area between highways. In 1962, the plant includes about Three thousand employees, and when it was May 20, 2010, the alliance between Tesla and Toyota was announced, with the aim of manufacturing and developing electric cars, their spare parts in a complete engineering and technical project, the Vermont factory was assigned to this project, and TESLA bought the site which belonged to "Nominee", as well as the factory, for which it paid forty-two million U.S. dollars.
