Information about Peugeot:

One of the biggest car brands in the world, descended from the French company PSA. Ranked the second-largest automaker in Europe, while the giant Volkswagen Group came in first place. Created in 1842, and owned the only mills for the production of salt, coffee and pepper. It was at the end of the 19th century that the company began manufacturing bicycles.

Headquartered in Paris and was the official sponsor of the Sochaux football team, which is founded by a member of the Peugeot family.

The history of Peugeot:

The company signs a contract with another company called Citroën, and acquires a 38.2% share in 1974, then the share increases two years later to reach 98.95%. The success, namely CX and GS, the money that the French company paid to buy its share in Citroën amounted to a billion dollars, this large sum later led to a catastrophic fall that began in 1985 and its competition for the automotive market has declined until the present days.

The union between the two companies has created a state of technological expertise; Peugeot has seen its versions of cars launched in fast-growing markets like developing countries, making successful investments in Tunisia, China and France.

Alliances:

Under the title of the European Assembly of Light Vehicles, a cooperation took place between the two companies Peugeot Citroën and Fiat, during which Fiat contributed 50% to this alliance, and the remaining 50% was divided between the two other companies. Another union with the giant Toyota resulted in the production of a number of city car models, in newly established factories in the Czech Republic, this alliance came with another company called Toyota Peugeot Citroën Cars, and it continues to operate so far, as it produces popular models: Peugeot 107, Citroën C and Toyota Ego.

When the French company saw the need to manufacture a new type of engine, it established an alliance with partners like BMW, and the project was already over, as a completely new type of engine was released to replace the old one.

In 1998, the company ventured into an alliance with Ford, to get diesel engines with a capacity of 1.4 liters and 1.6 liters.

Then came the year 2005, in which an alliance was established between it and the famous Japanese Mitsubishi, this alliance was based on the importation of two types of cars, the C-Crosser and the Peugeot 4007, which are put on the European market. These two cars benefited from the design of the luxurious Mitsubishi Outlander where they were assembled at Mitsubishi's Okazaki plant in Japan.

The company's most prominent model:

In 2008, the company was preparing to compete in the last stage of the Le Mans championship at Silverstone, the company took the opportunity to unveil its new model Peugeot 908 HDi FAP, a hybrid car capable of restoring its kinetic energy, the car came in a new and amazing silver costume to amaze fans.
