Information about Jaguar:

Jaguar Land Rover, a British company, was established to be a multinational specialist automobile manufacturer. The headquarters are in "Whitley Coventry", in the UK, and operating under the aegis of the Indian company "Tata Motors", since 2008.

Jaguar History:

The founding history of the company dates back to 1922, when it was established in Blackpool in 1934, the name of the company was changed to 'SS Schutzstaffel Frontier'. But in 1945 it took the name of "Jaguar Cars Limited", after that it became a global brand in the automotive industry. Its philosophy is to build cars with an aggressive front end, an attractive sporty look, a balanced crawl and a striking design.

On the second day of June 2008, the giant company “Ford” annexed “Jaguar”. Before this event, we recall that the company was created in 1922 with the planning of two men "William Lyons" and "William Walmsley", these two had a passion for the automotive field, they liked to establish their own project with ambition and enthusiasm. The first industrial activity of the company was represented in motorcycles equipped with 2.5-liter engines. That was in 1935, but they decided to drop the first name "SS" due to its declining masses, this was achieved in 1945, when the company pumped its car production into the market in the name of Jaguar , the mark was printed on a luxurious group of multifunctional sports cars, luxury sedans. In 1960 the company acquired the 'Demli Automobile Company', under an agreement with the 'Birmingham Small Arms Company'.

In the late 1960s, the Daimler brand was used on Jaguar cars, launching one of the most luxurious car collections in its history.

In 1966, a merger took place between the company and BMC, and then an alliance was concluded with Leyland. This latest alliance created a leap forward in the company's industrial activity. In the 70s of the last century, the Jaguar and Daimler Marquis alliance won considerable mass, due to the production of luxury high-performance cars, but the results were not satisfactory, so the company was reconfigured at the beginning of the eighth decade. Development included all aspects of the car, until it was described as similar to Austin.

With Ford:

The first offer was made by Ford for a share in the company in September 1989. Following this offer, an extraordinary meeting was held in January 1990, according to which the Jaguar brand left the London Stock Exchange. Since February 1990, it has become an integral part of the Ford company, which had included under its supervision Aston Martin and Volvo.

Jaguar's presence among the Ford brands was volatile. Between 1989 and 2008 no final decision was made on whether to continue, while Land Rover and Aston Martin were finalized in 2007 this dilemma was present. In fact, the Jaguar brand made no profit for Ford.

One of the effects of Jaguar's inclusion in Ford was that there was a great harmony between it and Land Rover, especially in 2002.

In 2008, after many complications and failed deals, the company was sold to India's Tata Motors, under whose umbrella it operates until today.
