Information about Citroen:

Citroën, which is described as the owner of amazing technology, is attributed to its founder, Mr. André Citroën, who founded it in 1919. It provided revolutionary technology that upset the balance of the automotive industry world, the viewer can see this in its unique and innovative design. Mr. André began his industrial career in 1900, when he purchased a patent after graduating from the Polytechnic College, the patent was for the gears with which the mills would be operated. He created a production line to pump it into the market, and thanks to this, he achieved great success.

History of Citroen:

Mr. André's activity was to manufacture military equipment intended for the world war for the French army. He decided to manufacture cars with his own creation, he produced the first type A car, which used a 1.3 liter engine, and the annual production rate of the company was 10,000 cars, since it started its activities in the market in 1919 until 1921.

The cars that the company launched in the market had general acceptance and achieved success and sales, which inspired André with more ambitions. He set out to run advertisements in a variety of innovative ways, so that the company's name would be placed on the Eiffel Tower. It was from 1925 to 1934.

In 1934, a partnership was concluded between the French Citroën and the Michelin company, which resulted in the production of a unique trend in the automobile industry at that time, because the car came with a complete structure, and this was not popular enough in this period. The car was called the Type 7A, it revolted against cars at that time. The dominant car that used a split wheelbase, front wheel drive mechanism, and that wasn't commonly used either. The car featured a unique suspension system and design.

Mr. André's ambition and creativity were not compatible with the company's financial liquidity. He expanded the factory at exorbitant costs to provide more technology, and exhausted the budget with advertisements which he ran frantically. The company declared bankruptcy in December 1934. The Michelin company bought the largest share of the bankrupt Citroën. Management passed to Mr. Pierre Michelin, Mr. André died in 1935 of stomach cancer.

Before the outbreak of World War II, Michelin launched the 2cv version. It used an in-line cylinder engine, with a capacity of 375 cubic meters, with a water cooling function. The base of the car was made of magnesium and an independent suspension system. Mr. André said of this car that eggs don't break when you move it over plowed ground, based on its wide-range independent suspension.

Then came the year 1955 to witness the launch of the DS19 hydraulic suspension model, it was a truly revolutionary model, which continues to take its amazing position until today. Then in 1968 the company bought Maserati, which reflected excellent production indications, since the Italian company's extensive experience in the field of the automotive industry represented in engine and hydraulic engineering. The proportion of unit production has increased. During this period, the SM model was launched, it was precisely in the year 1970, which came with an amazing character, such as the six-cylinder engine, with a storage capacity of 2.7 liters, with a front-wheel drive system, suspension completely developed by Citroën.
