The SUV segment is the most intense battlefield for manufacturers. KIA has completely renewed its model range. Whether through facelifts or the launch of new models. We'll take stock of 2022 Kia SUV's.
Remarkably, the all-new Kia
Sportage is entering the catalog. More original, more techno than ever. For the
first time in its history, the Kia Sportage is available in two versions. A
length of 4.66 m (17 cm more than the previous one). If we already knew the
design of the model, its characteristics, its range of fully electrified
engines with two petrol and diesel units equipped with micro-hybridization.
Good news for fans, Kia's popular Sorento is now available as a plug-in hybrid. Equipped with an all-electric range of up to 51 kilometers and an energy-efficient battery hybrid system, the 2022 Sorento PHEV is more advanced, more powerful and, above all, more environmentally friendly. The 2022 Kia Sorento PHEV will be one of the few plug-in hybrid SUVs on the market to offer all-wheel drive, which is certainly an advantage over the competition, especially when you consider that it will also be one of the only 7 passenger seats.
The new Kia Niro keeps its
hybrid panoply, with a plug-in hybrid and 100% electric. As expected, it is
inspired by the Habaniro concept of 2019 adding a special touch to the rear
pillar. Kia has decided to continue to offer its Niro SUV in hybrid, plug-in
hybrid and all-electric versions. Hybrid models, and in particular the PHEV
plug-in, are equipped with a “green zone” mode that automatically activates the
electric motor in so-called “green” zones. However, the car will be able to
recognize the driver's favorite places, including home and workplaces, to
integrate them into personal green zones.
The Seltos is a relatively
new vehicle in the Kia line-up as it has only been on the international market
since 2019. The Seltos gives the impression of offering more than its
competitors at all levels and for less and it is somewhat on this principle
that the success of the brand is based. The 2022 Kia Seltos is elegant and
benefits from everything one could dream of in this type of vehicle. There is
nothing extravagant and the ergonomics are well studied.
The Kia Soul's third generation is set to receive a new mid-career look. The most noticeable change concerns the LED optics on the front. The light signature on the back is similar. The facelifted Kia Soul should sport the new logo as on the new Sportage. Inside, the infotainment system could be revised, with the appearance of a new digital dashboard.
Since the EV8 was unveiled in 2021, Kia's new 100% electric proposal has been talked about a lot. Kia's most expensive car is also the best-selling car since it went on sale late last year. The EV6 stands out with its look, its level of equipment, and, now, with its sales figures. The EV6 has a unique design that makes it identifiable at a glance. The EV6 has an aggressive sports coupe look, thanks to its sweeping roofline and particularly sculpted features.
The manufacturer is bringing
a few subtle updates to the Kia Telluride for the 2022 model year. We note the
new badge, but also improvements in terms of the interior and the range of
versions. For
Telluride to continue to sell well, Kia is taking the opportunity to make it
even more attractive to consumers. This model receives a slightly well
redesigned front end by implementing a black grille and a new bumper.
The biggest changes have mostly been made to the cabin. A new steering wheel and new materials give it a slightly richer look. There are also new color schemes. All trim levels now come standard with intelligent cruise control that uses data from the navigation system to anticipate a reduction in speed if needed.
