Mercedes-Benz let it be known some time
ago that it no longer intends to launch new non-electric models from 2025. In
the meantime, there will still be a few SUVs of which we quote below a list of
Mercedes-Benz SUVs for 2022.
Recently renewed, the compact SUV with
the star returns transformed with serious assets to be asserted. It took some
time before Mercedes managed to clearly organize its range, both in terms of
models and nomenclature. Fortunately, the new GLA pays perfect homage to its
crest, by now being a full member of the brand's SUVs in terms of its style,
while resting on the Class A platform.
One of Mercedes-Benz's bestsellers is
about to hand over to a whole new generation, after seven years of good and loyal
service. This second opus of Mercedes GLC will prove technically close to the
renewed C-Class. All engines in the classic range will switch to 48V light
hybridization. In gasoline, it will probably be necessary to rely on the 1.5 l
of 204 hp, at launch, as well as on two 2.0 l diesels delivering 200 and 265
hp.
For Mercedes it's time to do a restyling
for the descendants of the M-Class, the Mercedes GLE and the Mercedes GLE Coupe, this restyling will focus almost exclusively on the headlights and
will not bring any revolutions in the cabin either, where the current
horizontal screens will remain in place, but only software and functional
updates.
The Mercedes GLS is none other than the
restyled GL. More young technically, it is still based on the platform of the
GL appeared in 2012. Style level, we note a look a little more in tune with the
current Mercedes style. Alterations to the rear optics, but the silhouette of
the colossus remains identical since it is still the same large SUV, capable of
accommodating 7 passengers along its 5.13 m.
Obviously, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600
4MATIC is the first SUV in the premium department of the Daimler Group. Indeed,
it is the first production model badged Maybach which is not an S-Class.
According to the words of the brand, it is designed to be the synonym of luxury
in terms of SUVs. With this design and performance, this allows the 2.78 tonne
Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and reach
an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The G-Class makes a good impression on
the current automotive market, with an antique technical base and overpowered
petrol engines in the era of the electric car, Mercedes-Benz has decided to
continue the adventure with its cubic all-terrain. The previous generation
Mercedes G-Class 4x4 is already setting up a particularly impressive look. New
perforated protection bars at the base of the front and rear bumpers. The
widened wings and the bar of additional lights above the windshield are masked
by a camouflage pattern, so we can admit that these elements will be redesigned
compared to the previous version.
Finally, the EQE is ready to launch, 2022
will be the year of its SUV variant which will be the battery-powered alter-ego
and the designated heir to the GLE. It is likely that an electric coupe SUV
will be in the cartons. The EQE will have a slightly more compact shape than
the GLE and GLS, although it certainly won't be small, and is expected to start
with a motor and rear-wheel-drive variant of just under 300bhp, moving up to
expand the range with two-engine models.
Mercedes-Benz announces more than 700 km of autonomy, the Mercedes EQS stands out as a very high-end rival of the Tesla Model S. Restyled by the Vision EQS concept, the Mercedes EQS is a large sedan in the style of the famous limousine. On the outside, it inherits the characteristic elements of the rest of the EQ range with a specific light signature and a full grille. 5.22 m long, the Mercedes EQS is 1.93 m wide, 1.51 m for an impressive wheelbase of 3.21 m.
