Which vehicle will be voted best looking car of the year 2022? We will still have to wait a few months before knowing the name of the big winner. Here is our estimated list of the best-looking cars in 2022.
The new Ford Maverick 2022, a compact pickup truck that takes up some of the qualities of this first generation of the Ranger. This new pickup is available only with a crew cab, which can seat up to five passengers, and as standard it is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor, a continuously variable automatic transmission and a traction cog.
In the midsize pickup segment, customers are attracted with rugged styling, good capability and an adventurous character. The 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro certainly leverages all three of these attributes. An even higher installed suspension, increased by 28 millimeters (1.5 inches) at the front and 13 mm (half an inch) at the rear. By doing so, the angle of attack increases from 35 to 36.4 degrees, the exit angle from 23.9 to 24.7 degrees, and the breakover angle from 23.9 to 26.6 degrees.
Ford has just officially presented its new F-150 Lightning. The manufacturer's star pick-up, converted to 100% electric, was even tested a year earlier by the President of the United States, Joe Biden himself. The F-150 is available in three cabin sizes and three engines, 3.5L ECOBOOST V6 with 365 horsepower, 5.0L V8 with 385 horsepower and 3.5L V6 with 450 horsepower.
Models at the top of the American manufacturer's range, the Ram Heavy Duty are the pickup trucks that allow you to work hard. Two models are available, designated 2500 or 3500, in a wide variety of cabs and bed lengths. The gasoline engine is a 6.4-liter V8, while the Cummins diesel engine, a 6.7-liter 6-cylinder, can be supplied as standard or "high output".
Fortunately for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson, it enjoys a good reputation and the Korean manufacturer has made sure to meet all the criteria of buyers in the segment. A compact SUV must be spacious for passengers, and this is the case with the Tucson. Its wheelbase is among the longest in its class, allowing plenty of rear legroom, as well as a large cargo capacity.
Genesis has another winner. The latest
model of the modern luxury brand GV70 compact Crossover ranks first in the best
price to buy luxury cars, very similar to the large models what Genesis GV80
did in 2021.
Like the GV80, the GV70 achieved contradictory luxury value performance. Genesis will only present 100% electric models from 2025 and will no longer offer any heat engine from 2030. However, the solution of an electric motor powered by a battery is not the only avenue envisaged by Genesis which is studying the feasibility of hydrogen fuel cell model.
The amazing Telluride enters its second year of production. After last year's launch and great reception, it's pretty obvious that there aren't any major changes for the 2022 Kia Telluride. It continues the same way, with the same overall design. Nevertheless, there is a rather important novelty to mention, which comes in the form of a new visual package called Nightfall Edition.
The first Ford Broncos arrived in dribs and drabs and their popularity began to be felt as many used examples sold for much more than they cost when new. Ford Bronco offers 2 engines, starting with a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. This mill can be mated to a 10-speed automatic or 7-speed manual depending on which version you opt for.
What Genesis has managed to do in just a few years is to build an identity for each of its vehicles and the GV80 is proof of this because even if the majority of people do not know which brand it belongs to, they know that it is not another vehicle and that it is something new. However, if you know the brand at all, you can quickly identify that it is a Genesis vehicle thanks to several small unique elements that make it up and that make its character.
After many years marked by relative immobility, the Lexus LX full-size SUV is getting a complete overhaul, while keeping its fluffy adventurer identity intact. Lexus has unveiled the main lines of the new generation of a model that is still as niche as ever. Beyond the renewed design which relies again and again on this hourglass grille which seems to grow from generation to generation, it is necessary to embark this new LX 600 on a lift to see even more tangible modifications.
