With more than 50,000 drivers responding to the 2016 Driver Power survey, Auto Express magazine was able to compile a list of the most reliable used cars on the market. We will review the reliability ranking of vehicles grouped into different categories of vehicles (city cars, compact cars, premium compact sedans, SUVs, sports cars, family sedans, premium sedans, and monospaces): which cars dominate this ranking? Are there hybrids or electric in mind?
Top 10: the most reliable used city cars:
Among the most reliable used city cars is the Skoda Citigo, the Czech derivative of Volkswagen Up!.
Then there is the Korean Hyundai i10 and the Honda Jazz, renowned for its modular interior, which are almost equal with the Skoda micro-city car.

The latest generation of Honda Civic occupies the place of the most reliable compact vehicle, closely followed by hybrid cars Lexus CT200h and Toyota Prius 3.

We can notice that on this Top 10 ranking reliability of compact cars, the Toyota group occupies 4 out of 10 places, whose reputation of the Prius 2, quite old (2004-2008), is no longer to be done.
Toyota Auris 2 and Auris Touring Sports (made in the United Kingdom) are also in the standings, with the hybrid version accounting for 56% of sales in 2015.
Top 10: the most reliable used family road cars:
Renowned as a low-cost brand, the Dacia Logan MCV stands out in this reliability classification, with a rustic design and proven Renault components.
It is followed by the Toyota Avensis sedan, and the Renault Laguna 3, which corrected the problems of the previous generation.

The hybrid MPV (136 Hp) 7-seater Toyota Prius+ is at the top of the reliability rankings, followed closely by the French MPV Renault Scénic 3 and the city car Toyota Verso-S. The French brands also performed well in this classification, such as the Citroën C4 Picasso and the Peugeot 5008.
