Last May, Skoda presented the new Scoutline version of its Kamiq. Up to now, the Kamiq range has been built around four finishes (Active, Ambition, Style and Monte-Carlo), and now has a fifth one located in the middle of the range.

Adventurer of the cities:
Based on the Ambition finish which already has the automatic dual-zone air conditioning, a reversing radar or an 8-inch touchscreen, this Kamiq Scoutline adds in particular 17-inch alloy wheels »Braga anthracites», electrically folding mirrors (the shells of which are coated with silver paint) or the front parking aid.

It differs mainly from other finishes by its side of small adventurer assumed. While the Kamiq looks more like an overturned station wagon than a real SUV, the Scoutline version adds black plastic protection at the wheel arches and the underbody. It is also equipped with silver protective clogs both in the front and in the rear. Finally, he is entitled to his small badge arranged on the front wings.
The interior has a special decoration with wood-effect inserts of ash or brushed steel (the latter being optional), which will brighten up an interior where black reigns supreme. A brushed aluminum crankset appears and the air vents, as well as the dashboard trim, feature a chrome finish. The seats benefit from a specific coating.
Complete motorization range
The Kamiq Scoutline is entitled to all the mechanics of the range. Three petrol (1.0 TSI available in 95 and 116 hp, 1.5 TSI 150 hp) and one diesel (1.6 TDI 116 hp) are available. All engines can be combined with the DSG7 automatic transmission, except 1.0 TSI 95. The latter is also the only one to have to settle for a 5-speed mechanical gearbox (6 gears for the others).

The family of the latest Octavia sees the arrival of its Scout version. Based on the Combi estate, this adventurous version has raised ground clearance and is traditionally associated with four-wheel drive. Now it is also possible to adopt it in simple traction.

Appearing on the second generation of the Skoda Octavia, the Scout is only available in a break Combi version. Today as yesterday, it benefits from an adventurous presentation with black plastic extensions, protective aluminum clogs as well at the front as at the back. Roof bars and badges »Scout» arranged on the front wings complete its exterior equipment. The ground clearance is raised by 15 mm to avoid rubbing when passing through the ruts. In these conditions, be careful not to damage the standard 18” Braga” rims or the optional 19” Manaslu” rims.

Four or two-wheel drive, you have to choose
The Scout version has traditionally always been entitled to full transmission. Today, Skoda only offers it on the most powerful engines. The 2.0 TSI petrol engine with 190 hp and the 2.0 TDI 200 hp are entitled to the original four-wheel drive and are equipped with the DSG7 automatic transmission. On the other hand, you will have to settle for traction and a 6-speed manual gearbox if you opt for the smallest 1.5 TSI 150 and 2.0 TDI 115.

In the cockpit, the Scout is distinguished from other Octavia by a few specific details such as an aluminum pedal or the Scout logos on the seats. They also adopt brown stitching that can be found on the steering wheel and the dashboard, the latter being entitled to a specific hardware. With a more horizontal design than in the past, the center console receives a larger touch screen that can reach up to 10 inches.
