Koenigsegg only produces a few dozen cars per year, it is a company known throughout the world, in particular for its numerous top speed records and because its cars are real pearls and Top level in terms of technology. We will discover in particular the Koenigegg Gemera price and advantages
If the design revealed in the automaker's post sounds familiar, that's because it's a Koenigsegg Gemera. A generic form of the model. For now, the Regera has only been offered in one and the same configuration, whereas we know that the brand's other models have generally been adapted to evolve in the past. Koenigsegg could certainly take a similar route with the Gamera and offer us a series of evolutions for the next few years. It must be said that the mechanical composition of the sports car from the Swedish manufacturer offers a lot of potential for a project of its kind since it is a hybrid car.
The Koenigsegg
Gemera is powered by the combination of a twin-turbo V8 engine and 3 electric
motors for a total output of over 1,800 horsepower. Finally, when you combine
it all, only 1,500 horsepower is usable, but that's more than enough to propel
the car from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 1.9 seconds. However, where the
Koenigsegg Gamera is truly impressive is not from 0 to 100 km/h, but from 0 to
300 km/h since it only takes 10.5 seconds to reach this speed. Not to mention
the fact that it is capable of exceeding 400 km / h.
The Koenigsegg
Gemera, a family car. The proof, it has 4 seats, a screen for the rear seats,
enough to charge your laptop by induction, space for luggage and even heated or
cooled cup holders.
As usual with Koenigsegg, it's out of the ordinary. Christian von Koenigsegg says, the Gemera is “a whole new category which mixes extreme supercars, spacious interiors and a true environmental conscience’’.
We should note
that Koenigsegg has added a surprise, it is indeed a small 3-cylinder 2.0l
bi-turbo thermal block called Tiny Friendly Giant (TFG) which drives the rear
wheels. It is supplied by the Freevalve company which belongs to the Koenigsegg
group. One of its particularities is to have replaced the camshaft with
actuators which control the valves individually, whether for the depth or the
opening time.
You will have
understood that it is a serious car from a mechanical point of view and that
its performance should clearly not be taken lightly. The fact that the
Koenigsegg Gemera is only the basic version of the model and just think what
the Swedish manufacturer could offer us with some technical improvements.
In 2022 only a limited series of 300 Koenigegg Gemera cars will be produced. The exact price of the Koenigegg Gemera is unclear at this time, but company CEO Christian Von Koenigseg said his 4-seater sports car would have a starting price of $1.7 million.
